hat happens if award-winning cinematographer from the United States Wes Anderson and his partner Juman Malouf will be the curator of the exhibition at the Vienna Museum of Art History: “Spitzmaus Mummy in a Coffin and other Treasures”!

Cult director Wes Anderson (“Hotel Grand Budapest”, “Darjeeling Train”, “The Tenenbaum Family”) loves traveling by train around Europe. And he has a passion for antiques. Therefore, he gladly accepted an invitation from the Vienna Museum of Art History, together with his partner, costume designer and designer Juman Malouf, to rummage through the museum’s collection to create a unique exhibition. Within two years, they reviewed more than four million paintings, art objects and works in the museum’s repositories and selected their favorites. The result of their work was the exhibition, which is somewhat different from what visitors of the Museum of Art History are used to.
